Designed from a map of your eye

Every eye is shaped differently. We use advanced corneal topography and the Eaglet Eye Surface Profiler, which measures hundreds of thousands of points across the front of the eye, to design lenses that fit your eye precisely. Better data means better comfort and sharper vision.

Frequently asked questions

Who needs scleral or specialty contact lenses?

People with keratoconus, irregular or scarred corneas, eyes that have had surgery (such as LASIK or a corneal transplant), severe dry eye, or anyone who hasn’t been able to see clearly or comfortably in glasses or regular contacts.

Are scleral lenses comfortable?

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable they are. Scleral lenses rest on the white of the eye instead of the sensitive cornea, and a cushion of saline keeps the eye hydrated all day.

How long does a specialty lens fitting take?

Plan on an initial evaluation with detailed eye mapping, then one or more follow-up visits to fine-tune the fit and vision. Custom lenses are made specifically for your eyes.

Does insurance cover specialty contact lenses?

Some medical and vision plans cover specialty lenses when they are medically necessary, such as for keratoconus. Our billing team can help you check your benefits.
