Dr. Huang Featured on America’s Best Doctors

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be featured on America’s Best Doctors, a TV series that goes behind the white coat to tell the stories of doctors changing lives across the country. My episode streams on the Inside Success TV app.

What the episode covers

The episode is all about protecting children’s vision:

  • Why childhood myopia (nearsightedness) has become a global epidemic, affecting nearly half the world
  • Why regular glasses and soft contacts correct blurry vision but don’t slow it from getting worse
  • How higher prescriptions raise the lifelong risk of serious eye disease
  • How ortho-k lenses gently reshape the eye overnight for clear daytime vision, like braces or a retainer for the eyes
  • Why starting myopia management early makes a difference
  • How preventive eye care is shifting eye care from correcting problems to preventing them

Behind the scenes

We filmed the episode in Miami this summer. It was a wonderful chance to share why I’m so passionate about preventative eye care, a passion that started when I was 12 and grew up around eye research.
